Books are a girl's best friend
Think about it. No matter what kind of chaotic relationship you may be involved in, listed here are several tride and true facts about books that will, hopefully, remind you just how priceless they are.
Books...
- will never desert you, unless you toss them away yourself.
- are monogamous. They will never put any other person before you.
- are dependable. You can always pick up right where you left off.
- will whisk you away to some exotic locale, and treat you to some great scenes of pleasure.
- will give you back a whole lot more than what you put into them.
- make you their confidante to tell you all of their secrets.
- cheer you up when you need it most.
- make you smarter every time you read one.
So tip your hat to the good book that has inspired you. Never judge a book by its cover. You never know what's on the next page!
One of the many things I love about reading is that when you are in tune with the story it suddenly pulls you in and you become the silent citizen as I put it. You become one of them and follow them through their adventures.
ReplyDeleteI love that! I hate closing a good book, because I hate coming out of that setting, whatever it may be. I walk around in a half-daze thinking on great scenes or on the novel as a whole.
