Franklin Reincarnated

Benjamin Franklin may have died two-hundred-and-twenty-four (d. 1790) years ago, but he still lives today, through his wisdom-ridden literature that has been passed down since his lifetime. For instance, many of his quotes are familiar to us:

  • Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.
  • Honesty is the best policy.
  • Never leave that til tomorrow which you can do today.
(These quotes courtesy of brainyquote.com. Thanks, guys!)

I liked reading his books, because we all can relate to these words of wisdom. Farmers still trust his advice from Poor Richard's Almanack. He had a flair for writing, as encompassed by The Way to Wealth. I find it very captivating to read something from so famous a man- and a founding father at that!

His readers can instantly understand that Benjamin Franklin was humble, as his preference in not being given the credit for coming up with these volumes of literature. Great men often are meek and want to further mankind for the better, rather than for profit. This is evidenced from his experiments with electricity. I enjoyed very much reading his exerpts in class. I wish I could read more of his.
